Erba spontanea est une essence inattendue, folle et sauvage, presque hallucinogène.
Les quatre actes de cette pièce de 40 minutes se vivent comme expérience physique et sensorielle. Dans le bourdonnement des orgues, les coups de griffe des deux guitares et la batterie qui martèle inlassablement le même rythme, Mange Ferraille ausculte des territoires intimes, gratte le terreau de la sensation pour en extraire l’émotion.
L'exploration rythmique et sonore embrasse le rock répétitif, les percussions tribales, le gamelan indonésien, la musique électronique voire psychédélique pour façonner un univers intense et hypnotique.
On se pose volontiers sur cette pièce affûtée au millimètre, écrite au cordeau comme une trajectoire pour naviguer sur les nappes et les matières, ballotté par les coups de baguette, entre le cosmos et la machine.
D'emblée, on est jeté sur une orbite en sinusoïde. On virevolte du grand huit aux rouages d'une locomotive, on fait du trapèze sur des lignes à haute tension. On gravite autour du fil rouge de la batterie, d'un tableau à l'autre, dans les vapeurs psychotropes de cette erba spontanea, fleur des champs électromagnétiques. On accélère, on ralentit, on repart, porté par les vagues d'un espace-temps en distorsion. Et dans le chaos tonitruant, la voix, comme une matraque, interroge le ressenti tandis que le sol se dérobe… jusqu'au court-circuit.

Erba Spontanea is an adventitious plant, a wild,almost hallucinogenic herb.
The four acts of this 40-minute play are an experience for the body and the senses. In the rumbling of the organ, the clawing of the two guitars and the tireless hammering of the drums, Mange Ferraile explores intimate territory, digs into the soil of the senses to expose emotion.
The exploration of rhythm and sound incorporates repetitive rock, tribal percussion, the Indonesian gamelan, electronic and even psychedelic music to create an intense and hypnotic universe.
We are invited to experience music that has been honed down, set on a compass heading to navigate surface and substance, rocked like a ship blown and beaten between the cosmos and the machine.
From the start we are launched into an orbital sine wave. We whirl from a roller coaster to the wheels of a locomotive ; we swing on a trapeze hung from power lines. We flow from one pole of thebattery to the other, in the psychotropic vapors of this erba spontanea, the flower of electromagnectic fields. We speed up, slow down, start again, carried on the waves of a distorted space-time continuum. And in the thundering chaos, the voice, blunt as a club, prods perception as the ground crumbles underfoot…and the circuit breaks.
